Our Latest Charity

Little Oak Sanctuary

—Farm Animal Sanctuary—

We are very excited to introduce our latest collaboration with Little Oaks Sanctuary.

Little Oaks Sanctuary is a not-for-profit, registered charity that offers sanctuary to animals in need while promoting compassion for all animals through education and cruelty-free living. It is situated on over 200 acres of land, an hour’s drive from Canberra.

The Sanctuary is currently home to over 100 farmed animals who have come from situations of abuse, abandonment and neglect. Little Oaks offers volunteer opportunities and also hosts fantastic open days, where the public can meet the animals, eat delicious vegan cheese and enjoy vegan wine and music. These opportunities also help educate about the plight that animals face in Australia and how they can help by living compassionately.

Little Oaks focuses on farm animals as in Australia in 2016 alone, over 689 million animals were confined and killed for food. These animals are regarded as little more than commodities or products.  They are not protected under the same legislation as pets are.

A donation of our sales will go towards Little Oak Sanctuary to raise urgently needed funds to continue the work offering sanctuary to animals in need and educating the public about the impact that animal agriculture has on the environment.

Perfumes And Animal Cruelty

Perfumes And Animal Cruelty

Civet Cats which hardly ever are bred in captivity, are captured in the wild and held in tiny cages barely big enough for them, where they are kept without release in hot, smoke filled sheds for up to 15 years. Every 10 days or so the musk is brutally extracted from the glands of the conscious civets.
Nearly all the civets cease to eat after the first extraction. There are many more animals who are trapped to obtain there musk, such as the European Beaver and the Musk Deer.
Make sure you ask your perfumer whether their perfumes contain animal musks.
Let perfumers know that you are not interested in smelling good at the price of animal suffering.

The Truth About Animal Testing

The Truth About Animal Testing

Animal tests have weak known scientific limitations because different species can respond differently from each other ( and importantly, differently from people) when exposed to the same chemicals.

This means that results from animal tests may not be relevant to humans, under or over estimating hazards to people.
For the sake of a few more dollars, money-hungry companies continue to be party to horrific and unnecessary animal experiments.
Please take the time to find out and research about the cosmetics companies you buy your beauty products from.
