Free The Bears
Glamour Without Cruelty is featuring Free the Bears as their first rescue group that they will donate from sales to. Here is a photo showing our two new little cubs that recently arrived in our Laos sanctuary, they look gorgeous and cute however, the sad fact is their mothers were killed by poachers to get these babies and if they hadn't been rescued by FTB they would probably have ended up in a bile farm or in the illegal pet trade.
Free the bears work tirelessly to rescue bears from bear bile farms, restaurant and illegal pet trade in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Stopping the vile bile farming in these countries is also a priority and a huge job with constant pressure and liaison with Government authorities.
Free the bears also work in India and in the space of 10 years stopped the horrendous practice of 'dancing bears' bears which had been beaten and abused and had a nail driven through their sensitive snouts to have a rope attached so they could be pulled around by this and made to appear to be dancing.
We now have over 500 bears in sanctuaries living a less than perfect life of freedom, however, they are safe and will see out their years in comfort and the best care possible.
Animal tests have weak known scientific limitations because different species can respond differently from each other ( and importantly, differently from people) when exposed to the same chemicals.
